Armstrong World Industries Building Products Division is currently seeking a Supply Chain Business Analyst Intern for Summer 2013 to join its Architectural Specialties Team at the corporate headquarters in Lancaster, PA. We are looking for candidates that have the analytical skills to evaluate our current systems and processes and assist in finding effective business solutions. This position reports directly to the Supply Chain and Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting with strategic sourcing of custom ceiling solutions to maximize value for Armstrong.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assisting with, or conduct market cost trends analysis in raw materials, transportation, and logistics services to aid in negotiation strategies.
- Charting and providing analysis on internal spending patterns
- Utilizing systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
- Performing analyses of supply chain goals, objectives and needs of the environment.
- Assisting management with the planning and design of business processes and systems.
- Leading process improvement initiatives for supply chain systems.
- Utilizing systems to execute transactional and administrative procurement functions

Qualifications:

- Must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations Management or other technical discipline from an accredited program.
- Desired area(s) of interest should include: Procurement & Supply Chain, Commodity Sourcing, and/or Project Management.
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA,within major
- Anticipated graduation date of 2014 or 2015
