Network Infrastructure Support Specialist

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our client in Allentown, PA.

Job Overview:
- To provide project support for the global Company Data Network environment as part of the Network Operations team based in Trexlertown, PA.
- The Network Operations team is responsible for the support of the global data network used by the Company. This includes network connectivity in almost every country where the Company has a presence. Additionally, the team supports and manages site level change and key interactions with our managed network providers (like AT&T).
- The company's network environment is spread around the world necessitating a group that can support and maintain these systems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. In order to accomplish this objective the team is structured with US and Asia teams.

Job Responsibilities:
- Typical technologies this team uses are:
- Cisco Network Equipment - Switches & Routers.
- Riverbed network acceleration appliances.
- Network Monitoring tools and technologies - like NetScout.
- Layer 1/2 wiring standards and design.
- Typical vendor contacts include: Cisco, Riverbed, AT&T.
- The contract worker will primarily help to implement equipment upgrades for our managed broadband sites that are part of a 2 year project and involves over 500 sites.

The contract worker will also be involved in the initial support of these sites as they are migrated to the new service.
- Provide network services for maintaining viability, operating, and improving the standard IT enterprise including network, voice, and application hosting with major emphasis on incident and problem resolution for core network operations infrastructure, including break/fix support.
- Configure, install, and uninstall Routers and Switches.
- Perform, review, and evaluate network performance results and escalate recommendations for review and approval.
- Provide first level response and repair to alert conditions such as outages, failures, over runtimes, shutdowns, and disaster recovery.
- Comply with all AP ITIL Service Level Management objectives including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management and ensuring the delivery of computing services per agreed service level and operational expectations.
- Participate in Security and Risk Management including Access Control, CFATS, SVA, SOX, and Audits.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Associate's degree in network essentials or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Up to Two (2+) years of experience in the operations and support of network technologies preferred.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP network protocols, DNS, DHCP and MPLS.
- Proficient with Cisco network equipment.
- Working knowledge of network tools including NetScout, DNS, DHCP, Infoblox, InfoVista, Remedy, ATT Business Direct, WireShark, EtherPeak, and CiscoPrime.
- Ability to handle multiple support and project related requirements simultaneously.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong teamwork skills - ability to work effectively as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
- Cisco Certification CCNA or CCNP preferred but not mandatory.
