The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Senior Network Engineer . Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:
Implements and supports a multi-vendor data center environment; Responsible for the deployment, configuration and standardization of network infrastructure within the National Datacenters; Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems to ensure minimal disruption of critical applications; Infrastructure device upgrades and replacements; Monitor network for performance issues, collects and analyzes network utilization; Implements Tech Bulletins and Field Service Announcements to address product issues and security threats; Interacts with cross functional teams from Network Architecture, Engineering, and Security to ensure that all network designs meet operational requirements; review product requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs based on application input; Develop network documentation and diagrams; Assist in design and implement best practices and procedures for data center networking; Understand protocol compatibility, network performance tuning; Analyze network environments and make recommendations for improvements in resiliency, performance and security;Generate monthly metric reports for management; Participates in the development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures; Other duties assigned.

Job Requirements:
Maintains LAN, WAN, MAN networks in a 7x24 Internet service provider environment; Must be available to work off-hours maintenance windows and on-call with a cell phone or pager; 15% travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidate will haveb 7- 10+ years' of direct network experience including: knowledge of ISP carrier offerings in a multi-vendor environment with an emphasis on Cisco and Juniper platforms, including routers, Switches and firewalls; a thorough knowledge of Ethernet switching, routing and network design; This includes a strong working knowledge of LAN, WAN, understanding of all OSI layers from application to physical, knowledge of TCP/IP v4 and v6, OSPF, ISIS, BGP, STP, VLANS, Trunking protocols, MPLS, VPN protocols; network management tools including CA spectrum, netcool, HPNA automation; a strong grasp of Internet networking practices and concepts; Strong time management and organizational skills, ability to work well independently and as part of a team, good prioritization skills, good analysis and troubleshooting skills; Deployed infrastructure within datacenter environments.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Lead: Assigns, trains, schedules or oversees work of others.

Travel 15%
