This position is currently located in Radnor, PA but will relocate to Springhouse, PA within the next year.

The Senior Scientist will participate in laboratory activities and guide a group of 4-6 laboratory personnel to prepare and analyze critical protein reagents in support of a large (60+) bioanalytical laboratory within the Biologics Clinical Pharmacology Department. The Senior Scientist will provide technical guidance for day-to-day protein biochemistry related tasks, including routine and novel protein purifications. The Senior Scientist will guide junior staff in a variety of biochemical and analytical techniques, such as LC-MS using a Waters Xevo G2 Q-Tof instrument, HPLC, electrophoresis and spectrophotometry. This individual would be responsible for day-to-day experimental reviews of the laboratory group, developing a strategy for reagent quality control in a regulated environment, and prioritizing laboratory work in order to meet the needs of the bioanalytical programs. This individual would be a critical point of contact between internal and external teams to assure that reagent needs are being met on behalf of the Bioanalytical Sciences Group. The candidate will also be responsible for managing the performance and career development of direct reports, serving on cross-functional teams, writing and communicating technical information to senior management.

Qualifications

Ph.D. plus 2-4 years or M.S. plus 10 years in Biochemistry or related discipline is required. Technical experience with liquid chromatography systems, protein purification, protein biochemistry, and LC-MS is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Technical experience in Surface Plasmon Resonance, Octet, and Ligand Binding Assays is desired. Experience with GxP documentation practices, electronic laboratory notebooks, and electronic inventory management systems is desired.
