HPC Test Automation Software Engineer - 720398
Description
The Intel Fabric development team is looking for a test automation software development engineer to work in our King of Prussia design center to facilitate the delivery of the next generation Intel Fabric products for High Performance Computing (HPC). HPC is being used today to help solve some of the world's most challenging scientific needs, including fusion energy, bio-medical research, physics, as well as traditional engineering such as aeronautic and automotive engineering.
The bulk of the work will be focused around the automation of Fabric Testing to ensure high quality product delivery of both small and very large scale HPC and datacenter fabrics. This includes test automation for overall fabric compute, IO and management communications protocols, APIs and hardware/software features. Given the sizes of HPC fabrics and the performance requirements, there are many unique challenges to solve.
Significant work items will be occurring in a number of areas:
- Implement automation of testing of customer supplied tools and features.
- Identify and implement techniques for creating high stress testing in an automated manner.
- identify or develop new tools to stress specific features and capabilities
Job Description: Develops software as the primary job function; Designs, develops, debugs & tests complex software in any field eg, systems software, software development tools, applications, drivers, numerical methods, UI's, web. May work directly with companies developing and optimizing compilers, operating systems, and other software technologies. Usually holds an academic degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computational Science.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or the equivalent in training and experience, and:
- 2+ years of experience with network protocols
- 2+ years of experience in C coding
- Work authorization in the United States and does not require sponsorship
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with InfiniBand or another HPC or RDMA interconnect
- Open Fabrics
- Familiarity with User space Linux development
- Experience with TCL/expect, bash, Perl and other test automation Scripting tools
- Exposure to network IO tools, protocols and APIs.
