Infrastructure Specialist - Permanent

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for an Infrastructure Specialist to join our client in Philadelphia, PA.

Job Overview:

The Infrastructure Specialist III can independently lead his/her own tasks in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting/supporting the corporate infrastructure networks, Servers, storage, and advanced applications. The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and improving the security, availability, recoverability, and performance of all areas of the storage, server, network, and application IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

- Research and architect new and upgraded innovative infrastructure solutions
- Maintain and improve the availability, security, and performance of corporate IT networking systems including Servers, storage, network devices, and applications. Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Ability to independently support all IT hardware and software infrastructure for the corporation. Relies on talent, knowledge and experience in advanced industry infrastructure technologies to plan and accomplish goals.
- Develop and document procedures for routine operations including troubleshooting, support, and administration. Knowledge sharing with team.
- Perform system upgrades and incorporate new technologies to the infrastructure minimizing effects on the user experience, working nights and weekends as necessary
- Work independently as well as assisting other infrastructure team and IT members to complete projects and tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.

Job Qualifications:

- Expert knowledge and familiarity with design and installation of VMware and Windows Server Operating Systems
- Strong expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN devices, network security appliances, and all data networking communications. Familiarity with VOIP technologies and related solutions
- Strong abilities and expertise in support of Microsoft Exchange Server and other messaging systems, SQL Server Database Server, and advanced Microsoft and other third-party technologies
- Experience leading projects and tasks independently and as part of a team, including reporting information to management and coordination of events and completion of documentation
- Knowledge of industry standard and innovative technology solutions and techniques to intelligently and independently manage and support the infrastructure
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or similar degree (highly preferred)
- Five (5) to Seven (7) + years in infrastructure support for a large corporation
- Cisco CCNA, Microsoft MCSE/MCA/MCITP/MCTS, VMware VCP (other networking and server system certifications are appropriate)
