POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for overall coordination, status reporting and stability of complex and cross-functional project oriented work efforts. Manages multiple projects simultaneously. Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations. Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers. Partners with senior management of the business community to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing IT to achieve the goals of the enterprise. Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools. Also understands human resources policies and practices and change management techniques.
ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Senior PM with mechanical plan management (design, build, load, update daily/weekly)
Work with Project Coordinator to improve not only the current reporting process (aligned with client health check' process), but to improve longer term visibility and Gantt chart utility as a management decision making tool. Will require deep understanding of technical task assignments, working closely with SA and Devl leaders
Within 3-6 months, be prepared to begin operating indendently for client discussions, occasionally chair status calls, etc.
Be prepared to assume project leadership in 9-12 months (PM departure not defined, but the goal is to be ready to take the wheel when that happens). Essential Skills Required:
- Client interaction, communications (written, oral, presentations)
- Successful track record of PM work, in large, matrix-managed corporate environments
- Ninja-like working knowledge of both CGI PMO frameworks, and MS Project.
- Demonstrated leadership skills (prior teams, projects)
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience (preferably in healthcare domain or Insurance)
- Proven track record of delivering solutions of high quality and sustainability
- Strong financial acumen, proven ability to connect the linkages of the project results to the financial and business benefits
- Persuasive, collaborative business acumen with ability to drive the business strategically and influence others
- Skilled in obtaining buy-in for ideas and driving implementation and culture change within a multifunctional organization
- Executive presentation skills and ability to communicate with all levels
NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED;
General Healthcare domain experience (particularly, Payer/Insurance), strong group insurance claims adjudication background
Excel/Access ninja skills'EDUCATION
