Job Description: Backup Administrator

The CGI US Tier 1 Organization is seeking a backup administrator to Install/Implement/maintain TSM and Commvault.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year of hands on experience with the installation and set up of Commvault.

Requirements include:

- Successfully managing Commvault and TSM in a multi tenant environment
- Setting up both de-duplictaed disk pools as well as tape backups
- Establishing replication between locations
- The ability to understand IBM Tivoli Storage Manager management classes/schedules and to convert those to Commvault policies and schedules.
- Understanding of network routing to ensure our backups are using our dedicated backup infrastructure
- Strong documentation skills along with the ability to train junior level personnel on day to day Commvault taks
- Creation of reports for both clients and management
- Must be willing to successfully complete any and all CGI/client specific background & security checks.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Excellent understanding of computer systems and networks to include but not limited to network operations centers, Client Server, LAN, WAN, etc. Computer Operations experience in medium to large Mainframe Data Center with multiple Operating Environments is preferred.
