Job Description: ERP Reporting Project Analyst

General description
The purpose of this position is to ensure that State Agencies are appropriately delivered reporting capabilities as part of an ERP implementation project. The position will lead the standardization and enhancement of key queries across multiple data marts. It will provide report analysis oversight and will manage reporting team efforts to implement Business Intelligence and reporting strategy including usage of applicable tools.
Project responsibilities

1. Analyzes and proposes solutions to system requirements related to the Business Intelligence and reporting environment including the operational data store, the data warehouse and the presentation layer of reporting and Business Intelligence information related to the Advantage solution

2. Manages the development of the technical architecture

3. Manages the integration of cross-functional processes and necessary Extract, Transformation, and Load (ETL) routines

4. Provides reporting expertise, as necessary, across the project to the functional teams to help facilitate data gathering and presentation

5. Establish a strong testing methodology to ensure that the reports and the presented information can be relied upon by the user community

6. Supports the development of functional and technical deliverables

7. Documents requirements traceability

8. Coordinates project activities closely with the other Project Team Leads and team members
Task Management
9. Understand work plan activities, and provide accurate status reports on work completion

10. Estimate task time requirements and plan accordingly

11. Understand and work within task scope

12. Prioritize tasks

13. Identify and communicate issues in a timely manner
Meetings

14. Demonstrate ability to coordinate and lead peer review sessions on tasks such as the review of functional solutions and design documents

15. Attend and contribute to client meetings
Deliverables Mangement

16. Author and review design documents and other technical project deliverables

17. Comply with project documentation standards

Essential Skills
- Minimum of (3) years of experience in reporting analytics

- Minimum of (5) years managing a team of report analysts

- Analytical and Business Intelligence problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply applications knowledge to identify appropriate solutions

- Experience with the reporting environment

- Experience in ETL Tools

- Ability to dissect, learn, and document existing reporting and/or database solutions

- Ability to work independently on projects with minimal direction

- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel or Business Objects

- Knowledgeable and proficient in use of databases

- Strong interpersonal skills and effective team player

- Strong verbal/written communication skills

- Strong prioritization skills with a clear ability to communicate clearly and concisely

- Knowledge of Financial Management including Accounts Payable, Budget Development and Control, General ledger, Travel Accounting, Cost Accounting Collections and Account

Receivables is a plus

- Preference provided to candidates with prior ERP system experience.
Nonessential Skills Desired:
- Experience in designing and implementing Universes

- Experience in Public Sector State and Local Government
