Description
The Oracle Inbound Technologies team supports American Express' (AXP) Global Business Services (GBS), Controllership, and Global Accounting business units. This team will provide business-facing responsibilities, as well as manage the Technologies PMO for this multi-year, high visibility program. The Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) is the Oracle System Utility that will enable the automation of business transactions into Oracle Accounting Entries. The goal of this program is to eliminate manual reclassifications, reduce volume of manual journal entries, simplify reconciliation processes, and improve transparency between regulatory, statutory, and management reporting information (including Basel II). The ideal candidate will possess strong functional skills to help lead AXP through the delivery of this strategic global initiative.

* Interacts with the business across multiple geographies to gather, understand, and document business needs and requirements using structured SDLC 2.0 methodology and tools
* Works with American Express Technologies (AET) business partners to develop and evaluate business requirements
* Ensures that all documentation is completed to a high standard and adheres to internal AXP standards
* Oversees quality assurance and ensures appropriate levels of end-to-end testing are undertaken
* Works with QMS testing team and business partners to determine system and user testing requirements, and coordinates testing phases
* Leads the analysis of potential operational and financial impacts on upstream/downstream systems
* Proactively provides technical consultancy throughout the development lifecycle
* Provides regular updates to Program Management team
* Works with business partners to align technical solutions with business requirements
* Demonstrates knowledge of both Technology and Finance business processes
* Provides guidance on business systems analysis processes and procedures, as well as business processes, to new team members

Qualifications

* Typically has both technologies and business practical work experience
* Proven ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities, including business requirements, analysis, testing, and implementation
* Proven collaboration skills to develop comprehensive business requirements
* Proven ability to drive an extraordinary customer experience
* Experience working directly with vendor partners
* Experience with SDLC 2.0 methodology, process, and deliverables preferred
* Experience working on Agile projects is a plus
* Experience with Oracle Financials and/or the Financial Accounting Hub (FAH) is a plus
* Typically holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or has equivalent work experience
