Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you will design, code, test, and commissioning of software on a cross-platform development environment. You will develop coding in C/C++ to control Vehicle Control and Communication Systems for automated people mover systems.

In your role you will:

- Design software code using C/C++ on workstations and Embedded controllers based on customer requirements. This includes all aspects of the design of an Embedded subsystem, including the work of other Engineers;

- Monitor engineering progress against budget throughout project duration;

- Develop and analyze software requirements to satisfy product, project, and safety level requirements;

- Oversee technical deliverables to ensure schedule and quality of work are maintained. This includes installation, design, software configuration management, RAMS, maintenance procedures and instructions, safety and quality plans and procedures;

- Prepare test procedures and support Product Introduction to demonstrate compliance of installed systems;

- Travel to various field sites to support installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electronics or Electrical Engineering;

- You possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in software engineering;

- You possess C/C++ programming experience;

- Your knowledge of HTML5 will be consider as an asset;

- Your English communication skills written and spoken are strong.

The incumbent of this position must be able to travel 10% domestic or international depending on project.
