Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Desktop Support Technician to join our client in Plano, TX.

Job Overview:
- The Desktop Support Technician will support laptop, desktop and mobile device systems and software troubleshooting in the support for our 1,700 employees and growing. The ideal candidate will be the initial point of contact for resolving hardware and software problems on demand associated with our internal assets used by our fellow employees in the execution of their specific mission.
- Troubleshooting issues are received via:
- Incoming phone calls
- Email
- The IssueTrak System
- These require a mix of technical expertise and people skills to manage customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

- Install and configure laptop and desktop PC hardware and software.
- Develop and maintain scripts and utilities in support of Windows environments.
- Create user accounts and assign privileges.
- Analyze, install, maintain, and upgrade laptop and desktop computer software and hardware.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cellular, wireless, and LAN connectivity issues on laptops and PCs.
- Clean, modify and repair computer hardware including monitors, keyboard and printers.
- Coordinate the receipt and shipping of assets processed by the Help Desk.
- Assign, update, and close IssueTrak tickets upon successful resolution.
- Document IssueTrack tickets with technically accurate and complete information.
- Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Provide excellent customer service via phone calls, email updates, and in-person contact.
- Participate with our "on call" rotation to provide support, Monday through Sunday after hours.
- Perform associated tasks as required to deliver services and solutions required above.
- Typical work day: Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex hardware, operating system (O/S), and application software problems supporting a variety of desktop, laptop, and mobile devices and associated connectivity and a wide range of peripheral equipment.

Job Qualifications:

- Two to four (2-4) years of Help Desk support
- Two to four (2-4) years of Windows administration experience required
- Windows 7/XP experience required
- Working Knowledge of Active Directory
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook 2010

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Working knowledge of all other Microsoft Office products
- Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP, FTP, and SMTP required
- Working Knowledge of Dell Laptops (Software & Hardware)
