We are seeking an IT Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to help develop and execute SAM processes across our technology portfolio! As the newest member to this team, the SAM Analyst manages software asset data throughout all stages of its lifecycle - from procurement, deployment, maintenance, utilization, and retirement. The keys to your success will be the ability to gain the respect and confidence of team members and stakeholder groups to ensure a collaborative team approach as well as being a detailed data analyzer and problem solver.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with the documentation, implementation, oversight and maintenance of Software Asset Management policies, processes and standards
Implement and manage a Software Asset Management counter to present software entitlements vs. installations
Manage software license compliance program; identify and harvest underutilized software licenses
Report regularly and accurately about software usage, entitlement, and asset inventory
Lead internal and external software audits; ensure compliance with software license agreements
Maintain data in Software Asset Management and discovery tools
Process software asset models and ensure timely issuance
Assist in updating the IT sourcing project intake process for the Information Technology Department which includes development of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models for hardware and software acquisitions
Effectively manage projects using standard project management methodology
Other duties as assigned
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
5+ years in data analysis, software support and/or data quality review
IT Software Asset Management, business analysis, data analysis, problem solving, analytical and logic skills, process mapping, organizing work, results oriented
Possess innovation abilities and capability to introduce and implement new ideas and processes that improve performance and productivity
Good research skills, excellent time management, the ability to work with numerous clients at the same time, and a willingness to adapt quickly to changing priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
