Senior System Administrator

Tekpros, Inc. is looking for a Senior System Administrator in Plano, Texas. Must possess a Master's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering. In lieu of a Master's degree, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus five years of experience is acceptable. Job duties include: Utilizing technical systems administrative skills for building, testing and installing various systems and Servers based on requirements. Designing computer system(s) using software, which will process the data in the timeliest manner, and implement that design by overseeing the installation of the necessary system software and its customization to unique requirements. This will entail preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written and designing, coding, testing, debugging and documenting those programs. Generate fundamental reports, create high level test data and execute test plans. Position requires six months of experience in the position offered or as a Senior IT Engineer or a Senior II Administrator. Six months of experience must include the use of (1) Middleware Server Admin; (2) Installing/Admin Unix/Linux Servers for Enterprises; and (3) Backup, SMS, SAN and disaster recovery. Position may require travel to end client locations throughout the U.S. Hours of work 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Salary: $66,000.00 per annum.
