Job Description: PMO Consultant

CGI is seeking a consultant to support the Project Management Office (PMO) for a project in Trenton, NJ. The ideal candidate will assist in the day to day operations of the PMO and Resource Coordinator from client. The PMO will be responsible for assisting with the development of Statements of Work, administrative reporting and team communications. The PMO is responsible for the overall project management function, providing leadership, coordination, and management of the PMO process and functions including Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Essential Skills Required
Strong MS office, Excel and Word skills, MS Project, SharePoint, Project Financial Management
Must be flexible, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple critical deadlines simultaneously.
The ability to work independently with little or remote guidance.

Ensure project requirements are achieved in a timely fashion and within budget guidelines.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Participate in a process to ensure the required quality steps are included in the project plans and executed appropriately

Builds and provides direction and day-to-day operations to the PMO.

Defines and develops project/program management best practices, processes, and policies.

Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures and guidelines

Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines

Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members
EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of six years of directly related work experience is required. At CGI, we're a team of builders.
