Position Description
This is a cross functional role working within the Command Center to provide 1st level support and response of various monitored events and other operational support activities. To monitor and operate the mainframe, ATMs, network, and open systems to ensure the online network, operations and batch production schedules are met 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Support the incident management process, per ITIL framework best practices, with the resolution and/or escalation of incidents to second level support and/or management as appropriate. Assist with workflow and other team members to achieve operational best practices to accomplish departmental objectives, reduce operational risk, improve operational reliability, and meet or exceed service level agreements. All accountabilities for this position may need mentoring and oversight in performing duties.
Position Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years computer operator experience or 2 year degree in Information Science, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Additional Requirements:
Possess general knowledge of data processing & computer operations.
Possess strong problem solving skills to resolve moderately complex problems under stressful situations.
Basic knowledge of IBM Mainframe, ATMs or Open Systems
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Office Products and Windows XP or Version 7
Written and verbal communications skills.
Availability to work rotating shifts to include nights, weekends, and holidays to support 7/24/365 business operations on an as needed basis.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using MVS Operating Systems, TSO, JES
Knowledge of automated job scheduling (ie UC4, Zeke)
Knowledge of financial industries
Knowledge of ITIL-based service management
Knowledge of Job Control Language
Knowledge of Open Systems troubleshooting (ie Windows, Linux, Unix)
Knowledge of ATMs
Knowledge of network administration (ie network pings, tracerouting)
