The Manager of Application Development and Support for Wealth Management Services will play a key role in our IT organization. We are looking for a talented leader who will partner effectively with Wealth Management executives as they prepare for extensive technological and operational advancements in the division. This Manager of Application Development and Support will serve as primary relationship manager for the entire Wealth division, manage and develop a team, and manage effective resource planning and project execution.

Primary Accountabilities:
- Work closely with business partners to identify, define, and prioritize technology needs; while ensuring the design of these systems fits into the strategic direction of the bank's information and application architectures.
- Effectively staff and structure a team of developers and systems analysts
- Lead and implement changes as needed to harness new technologies and processes that can bring value to the business while mitigating the risks that are inherent with such changes.
- Build strong relationships with business partners, vendors, team members, and peers
- Drive for results by employing a successful management philosophy and style
- Ensure the reliability of deployed solutions by designing reliable solutions, troubleshooting problems, and engaging the appropriate people to solve problems

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years in IT, including a minimum of 4 years in application development and support roles and 2 years of supervisory/management experience
OR
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 12 years in IT, including a minimum of 6 years in application development support roles and 2 years in supervisory/management experience

Additional Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of IT as it relates to managing development - principles and practices
- Working knowledge of at least one SDLC, and familiarity with at least one development language/framework
- Demonstrated effective management of a staff
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating and making decisions
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities
- Effective negotiation skills

Other Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Wealth Management industry experience
- Project Management skills (PMP certification desirable)
