The ACE (Assessment, Consulting & Engineering) team is the assessment arm of Microsoft's Information Security & Risk Management organization. Our team is a dynamic organization chartered with providing security assessment services to both Microsoft and to Microsoft's enterprise and public sector customers to help effectively manage information security risks.
Job Description:
The Information Security & Risk Management's (ISRM) Assessment, Consulting and Engineering (ACE) team is looking for an experienced security program manager to provide strategic planning and project management support to our projects ranging from internal application security code review to complex consulting engagement with some of the largest global enterprises in the world. The candidate in this role will serve as the primary interface between our customers/business development and ACE delivery and help articulate, drive and align projects to information security and risk management value propositions. The candidate will also develop and maintain project plans (including keeping ACE's PSA record up-to-date) to ensure actuals for the project can be tracked and success projects can be delivered on-time to our customers. This project manager will also provide escalation support to the analyst/consultant to help resolve issues relating to the project parameters including ensuring effective hand-off from business development to project delivery. Some travel may be required in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Drive information security risk conversations with customers to help articulate an information security & risk management value propositions through our service offerings.
- Be an advocate and ensure compliance with our overall ACE Delivery Framework.
- Maintain up-to-date record of the project within ACE's PSA solution/set of tools.
- Track multiple project milestones throughout the lifecycle of the project.
- Generate reports and participate in project review meetings to provide updates on your projects.
- Coordinate with customer, analysts/consultant and business development to ensure project plans are inline with project expectations.
- Support Resourcing to ensure up-to-date visibility of analyst/consultant availability across ACE.
- Collection and dissemination of weekly project status reports
- Ensure project logistics are gathered and correct prior to analyst/consultant taking on the project.
- Manage submission and collection of CSAT surveys associated with each engagement.
- Coordinate across the project team to ensure reliable and timely flow of information
Qualifications/Competencies:
- Knowledge with common information security & risk management frameworks
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures
- Strong knowledge of project management best practices.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment

- Must be accurate and meticulous, a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who is able to deal with a variety of personalities and issues.
Requirements:
- 4+ years' program management experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- BS/BA or MS/MA/MBA
- General experience in information processing technology, software development and the SDLC.
- Aptitude for innovative thinking in an environment of team collaboration.
- High level of attention to detail.
