Do you want to be part of an industry leading team that has helped to transform Microsoft's global reputation for software security? Do you want to work with dedicated people who are passionate about improving security for Microsoft customers and protecting Microsoft brands? If so, come join the Trustworthy Computing (TwC) Security Development Assurance team.

The software and services landscape is changing more rapidly than ever, creating new challenges for Microsoft and TwC Security Development Assurance. Many products and online services teams have adopted a rapid release or agile model where software may be in customers' hands days or weeks after development has begun, App stores can impose built-in platform safeguards that reduce, but do not eliminate security risk while other products are deployed in environments where they may come under attack from highly malicious and competent attackers. With challenges comes opportunity and the TwC Security Development Assurance team is searching for an dynamic Senior Security Program Manager Lead to help grow the team to meet these and other challenges.

Key Responsibilities for this role include:
Managing, attracting, and retaining a talented team of security program managers.
Effectively planning and prioritizing the team's work.
Defining a flexible engagement model.
Partnering with various business groups and providing security guidance.
Coordinating and driving the resolution of complex security issues affecting multiple groups.
Helping define and refine SDL standards and procedures.

The successful candidate will be motivated by team success, be able to attract and retain top security talent, have the confidence to make trade-offs and possess excellent communication, influence, negotiation and cross-group collaboration skills. This role requires broad software security proficiency and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant lead or management experience. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred.
