We are a newly established team in the Microsoft Office Division that is working to drive consumer engagement with Office and shaping and delivering new applications and services. We are looking for an exceptional and proven Senior PM. We want a high achiever with a track record of success and multi-release program management experience who can rise to our competitive challenges. You will own end user scenarios and features and critical parts of the application user experience. You and your feature team will be responsible for the entire software lifecycle; developing new ideas and seeing them through planning, delivery and to release. You must have a proven track record of thought leadership, leading innovation and creative vision. You should possess deep UI/UX experience and abilities, as well as a strong technical background and understanding, and a good grasp of software engineering principles. Exceptional problem solving abilities, outstanding communications and a demonstrated ability to come up to speed quickly on new technical domains are required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading planning for scenarios by release wave. This will include product strategy and roadmap planning by release wave, including analysis of technical differentiators and identification and prioritization of scenarios. You'll align the prioritized scenarios and features to the target customers, key value prop(s), and customer promises we are delivering overall. Own specs for end user experiences and features that will be delivered in a variety of clients apps for different platforms. Partner closely with the design team to create stunning user interaction and visual designs. Drive engineering execution and delivery across all the disciplines to deliver scenarios and features on time and with very high quality. Work closely with key internal (such as Office teams, Windows 8, Bing).
Essential attributes and competencies include:
Proven track record in program management engineering teams at Microsoft A passion for user experience design and implementation Ability to define and drive the product definition and detailed and comprehensive product specifications. Skilled at building a collaborative working relationship with design, development, test, marketing, and partner teams who deliver critical dependencies for client and services functionality.
Additional qualifications for this position include:
7+ years of program management and shipping experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, user understanding and empathy, and cross-group experience. Demonstrated ability to work across groups to drive results effectively
Ability to plan and manage multiple projects/features concurrently Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
