The System Center Orchestration team is looking for a strong, motivated and results-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test with a desire to build enterprise products and services. This is a challenging role in the development of our products which will be leveraged by multiple teams inside of System Center as well as customers. This is a challenging and key role in the Quality management of our products. The candidate should be a self-starter, Quality-centric and customer focused, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with code development in a Client Server environment, writing test plans and test cases, executing manual and automated test, in-depth analysis of code failures, ability to articulate and document technical issues, and a thorough understanding of testing methodologies, is required. Responsibilities include maintaining, executing and evolving current manual and automation test suites, working closely with peer development teams, and investigating methods to improve product and process Quality.

Required skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of test automation or development with C#, C++, and/or .NET
- Experience working in a collaborative, team oriented environment
- Experience defining, tracking and analyzing quality metrics and milestones
- Familiar with Visual Studio Team System
- Understanding of OS and System management concepts
- Passion for and strong customer and partner empathy
- Strong verbal and written communication

Experience with, or exposure to, any of the following are also a plus:
- Test automation frameworks like MCF/Suitep2, Test Manager, TFS
- Object oriented design and software development skills
- Performance and Stress testing tools
- Releasing commercial software
