We have an immediate opening for a highly motivated Senior Software Design Engineer with deep knowledge of OS internals, and experience with driver development, and hardware bring-up. In this role you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of OS components for a new product.

We are looking for someone with strong systems background and passion for OS internals. The successful candidate will have experience with some or all of the following: OS development, driver development, hardware bring up, interrupts, DMA engines, ARM/mobile platforms, DSP/FPGA/firmware development, RTOS, and GPU programming.

Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver key OS components for our product.
- Work in close partnership with a team of diverse and talented peers in various disciplines including design, hardware, PM's and SDET's for sustained long term success.
- Partner with the architects and the technical leadership team to deliver solid technical designs.
- Own costing for your engineering activities, and execute with high accountability to schedule and quality.
- Participate actively in detailed design, code reviews, and issue triage with the feature team.
- Maintain an unwavering focus on our customers and the value you can deliver to them.

Successful candidates must have:
- 6+ years of relevant software design and development experience preferably on shipped consumer products or platforms.
- A BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Outstanding technical problem solving skills.
- Excellent design, coding, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience writing performance critical code in C/C++.

Additional experience desired:
- Experience with mobile or Embedded systems and their constraints
- Experience with Windows on ARM, Windows Phone, or Xbox
