Your Opportunity
You are an energetic Senior Business Analyst who is interested in delivering quality data and information insight solutions to support our Finance, HR, and IT organizations. You will be responsible for partnering with the Finance, HR, and IT operations teams to ensure the availability of accurate, timely, and relevant information needed to drive company success. You will be working in a cross-functional, fast-paced team environment focused on delivering value-added services that exceed customer expectations. You will also serve a critical role in implementing Informatica's products internally. In this capacity you will work with Product Management, Development and Support to ensure that Informatica's products are the best they can be.
Our Ideal Candidate
You excel at establishing collaborative relationships across the enterprise and are skilled at working effectively with business teams in Finance, HR and IT. You can take on solution delivery responsibilities and can identify opportunities that meet business needs, create/launch reports and dashboards for the business, oversee them once in production, retire those that no longer meet business needs, and be an expert on the information KPIs (key performance indicators) already deployed to the business. You will communicate regularly with business users, conduct usability tests, conduct surveys, and continuously monitor the pulse of the business user community, managing the product backlog and maintain the EDM brand and quality.
You will provide leadership and guidance, whether it is internally in IT or in working alongside the business. You are not an order taker. You are able to provide cross-functional direction, show initiative, lead teams, prioritize, influence and execute.
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for building strong partner relationships with the business. This is a customer facing role where you will leverage your effective listening and strong written/verbal communication skills are required. You will proactively engage the business and solve problems by influencing change and negotiating as appropriate. You are able to independently drive analysis and problem solving, and will share recommendations with a broader solution delivery team. You demonstrate a hands-on approach which is essential to success when working closely with the business. Additionally, you will:
-Provide thought leadership to the EDM team and to the business on how to achieve/optimize results
-Facilitate regular interaction with the business communicating the project portfolio, EDM roadmap, and planning on future business objectives
-Serve as an intake funnel for the EDM business solution delivery team
-Work within the framework of the Project Management standards to deliver business needs quickly
-Provide functional support for existing and future Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions to support our internal Finance, HR, and IT organizations
-Drive the initiation, planning, requirements, design, test, and post-production phases of the solution development life cycle
-Create complex conceptual designs, prototypes, reports and dashboards using BI tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau
-Assist business partners in all stages of process with defining key capabilities/requirements that will enable their strategies and participate in the gathering of functional requirements that lead to projects or enhancements
-Provide project management support for IT initiatives and projects
-Prototype and iterate solutions to our business partners
-Participate in and/or manage various process improvement projects to increase operational efficiency.
-Work with the technical team to coordinate the handling/escalation of daily production support issues in a timely and efficient manner
-Have a good understanding of industry standards and best practices for Finance and HR processes but be ready to step into other areas and support them as needed
-Identify and monitor interdependencies between various application implementation activities
-Plan and establish post go-live activities including ongoing production support
-Collaboratively get work done by working with high performing teams across multiple regions
-Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting solution issues and coordinating with cross-functional teams
-Demonstrate an ability to multi-task in high pressure situations
-Partner with our Data Architect and play a key role in the department's implementation of Informatica products to support Informatica's standing as the leader in Data Integration and Data Quality
-Participate in the Data Governance process
Your Qualifications
-8 or more years of relevant professional experience supporting Finance, HR, and IT; experience within the enterprise software industry is attractive
-5 or more years of Data Warehouse experience
-3 or more years of hands-on experience with BI tools such as MicroStrategy
-Understanding of PeopleSoft, SalesForce.com, and web applications
-Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills
-Experience with documenting requirements and specifications is essential
-Ability and experience to operate in an Agile delivery framework
-Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
-Ability to build and manage cross functional relationships; strong client service orientation
-Undergraduate degree in a related discipline
