Technical Architect

As a Technical Architect with Unisys Federal you will be supporting the Customs Border Patrol Office of Information and Technology, which is responsible for supporting the design, development, testing, implementation, training, and maintenance of CBP information technology systems. These systems support CBP's key border enforcement activities conducted by CBP's operational offices. Our mission also supports CBP's administrative office systems ranging from its public website to core personnel and financial management systems to applications that track and record border intercepts and seized property.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Establishes system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems.
* Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
* Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces.
* Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant.
* Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of work flows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action.
* Provides daily supervision and direction to staff

Required Experience:

* Experience - 10 years (minimum) of expectance designing large transactional application environments.
* Excellent communication, technical documentation, leadership skills are required.

Education Requirement:

* Master's Degree in related field

Security Clearance Requirement
