Description:
The Defense and Maritime Solutions Business Unit has a job opening for a Software Developer to work at our facility in Middletown, RI.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Software Developer will have experience with National Instruments TestStand in support of software product development for test equipment from concept through implementation.

The Software Developer will be responsible for the following.
- Contribute to the planning and engineering of software projects through all phases of innovation, design, development, testing and sustainment.
- Participate in software engineering feasibility studies and project estimates.
- Work with SAE, Federal, and Military Standards for design compliance.
- Possess a strong knowledge of test equipment design theory.
- Work with a team of developers on software projects utilizing C++, NI TestStand, and LabVIEW
- Familiar with industry standard version control tools and practices
- Ability to document and propose software changes in writing

Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science
- 3-5 years experience in Software Development
- Experience developing National Instruments TestStand Applications
- Experience in Software Development with C++
- Experience with standard software version control practices and tools
- Knowledge of LabVIEW

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Test Equipment development
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics is a plus
- Knowledge of communication standards (Ethernet, GPIB, MXI/VXI, Serial)
- Strong software debugging skills
- Professionalism, strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Team-player, autonomous, self-starter
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
