The Network Engineer - Infoblox is responsible for an established portfolio of DNS/DHCP services delivered through Infoblox products as well as external DNS services. This position will manage the span of technology services and contracts to support all related services. This position will spend a significant amount of time with the managed service providers supporting these services. This role encompasses Best Buy's global footprint and includes over 2000 locations and 25,000+ network devices under management in the US, Canada, China, Mexico, Philippines, and India.
Responsibilities include:

Manage the DNS/DHCP services
- Manage functions in US, Canada, Mexico, and China
- Must be flexible with work scheduling as meetings and issues will occur at all hours
- Provide technology decision making for all services under management
- Manage relationships with existing and future service providers
- Operation of these relationships requires working closely with the service provider leads to
ensure quality services while maintaining costs
- Providing provider support and decision making on management capabilities.
- Add/remove/modify to DNS record/domains
- Responsible for Infoblox User authentication and authorization
- Work with Legal team to setup and or resolve domain issues at multiple Registrars

Manage client relationships
- Effective communication of changes and upcoming services is vital to ensure good client relationships
- Self-service materials will be crucial in managing over 50 devices
- Manage services and solutions based on client feedback and a broad understanding of client needs.

Manage IT relationships
- Must work collaboratively within IT to ensure end-to-end service delivery of owned services and as a supplier to other service providers.
- Must be flexible with work scheduling as meetings will occur at all hours
- Provide technology decision making for all services under management

Process & Tools
- Responsible for the end to end process and tools that support DHCP/DNS, Cisco Access Secure software and all other network security services.
- Work in this area includes process reengineering, tool/product selection and implementation

Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 10 years' experience in DNS/DHCP operations.
- Recent hands on experience with Infoblox and Cisco Secure Access Control servers

Preferred:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field
- Prior experience in a global enterprise
- Administration Experience working with a complex multi Infoblox Grid environment
- Hands on experience as a DNS administrator with domain administration
- Good understanding of Hidden master/slave architecture
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory DNS updates, GSS-TSIG and Dynamic DNS
updates
- Previous experience implementing and maintaining Infoblox Grids for internal and external domain name service supporting over 40,000 users and over 1000+ remote locations.
- Have performed DNS statistics analysis and subsequent tuning to maintain a stable DNS
environment using SNMP monitoring tools and Infoblox Reporting Appliance.
- Understanding of DNSSEC and trust anchors.
- Thorough understanding of network services like DHCP, SNMP, Syslog, NTP, IPAM etc.
- Experience with Service Now for change control is a plus
- Cisco ACS - Design, implementation, support and documentation for operations
