POSITION SUMMARY

The Clinical Database Analyst - Electrophysiology is responsible for managing all processes related to the collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical data for procedures performed in the several Bon Secours Virginia Cardiac Electrophysiology Labs (GE Centricity/CardioLab Cardiac Information Suite or equivalent). This includes management and reporting from an internal electrophysiology clinical database (Microsoft Access) and successful submission of all data required for participation in the American College of Cardiology Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Registry (ACC-NCDR ICD Registry). The analyst is accountable for assuring complete, accurate, and timely collection of all data elements; ensuring that the clinical data maintained within the database satisfy criteria for inclusion in the medical record; submission to professional organizations and regulatory agencies; meeting independent audit criteria; and developing standard and custom reports to support quality decision making by the Bon Secours Health System.

Job Requirements

1. A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or allied healthcare professional program.

2. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or awaiting reciprocity; or similar allied
healthcare professional credentials, eg Cardiovascular Interventional Specialist or Physician Assistant.

3. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of the cardiovascular pathophysiology and treatment.

4. Previous work experience in telemetry, critical care or Cath Lab.

5. Demonstrates proficiency in computer technology including database management,word processing,
spreadsheet preparation, and Internet navigation.
