JOB SUMMARY

As a key member of the Information Systems team, the IS Support Specialist will be expected to become an expert in one or two key business system technologies and have a strong basic knowledge of all other systems, infrastructure and technologies. This person must be a highly effective problem solver with the ability to work independently. This position will report to the Operations Support Manager.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide telephone and desktop support to internal users both on-site and remotely
  • Monitor network to ensure optimal uptime to all users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability
  • Configure workstations and Servers required internally for the company///'s IS related activities
  • Maintain & create reports and databases both existing and new
  • Administer and troubleshoot company///'s internal business systems
  • Manage small to medium sized projects and assists with technology planning and other activities as assigned by the Operations Support Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-5 years and current experience as an administrator/programmer on a medium sized network of Servers, desktop systems and communication devices using current technologies
  • Proficiency with Windows Servers and desktop products including Active Directory
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols as well as server and desktop technologies
  • Familiarity with Novell and Lotus Domino a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
  • Occasional travel to other facilities is required
