Description

Key Role:

Analyze detailed plans for and supervise the implementation of security tools, including event log correlation engine, password management tool, file integrity monitor, and antivirus. Maintain and manage continuous monitoring (CM) tools, dashboards, and data to ensure compliance with all federal CM requirements. Leverage industry best practices to recommend improvements to client's security posture, including secure coding, DMZ design and implementation, and vulnerability management. Analyze annual project plans that track work to be completed to maintain CM compliance for client's network. Provide analysis to information security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as needed. Complete biweekly status report and contribute to weekly information systems security officer (ISSO) status report.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-2+ years of experience with performing information security engineering for government agencies-2+ years of experience with implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining firewall, IPS, and IDS technologies-2+ years of experience with cyber security, information assurance, network, and incident response-related work
-Experience with network security and monitoring tools, including Nessus, Tenable Security Center, Symantec Endpoint Protection, LANguard, WebInspect, ArcSight, BlackStratus, and SIEM devices-Experience with continuous monitoring-Public Trust clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in the civilian government health market-Experience with SANS 20 critical security controls-Experience with coordinating the remediation of vulnerabilities on Servers and network appliances
-Knowledge of tier 1 and 2 incident response
-Possession of excellent research and analysis skills-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-BA or BS degree in CS or a related field preferred
