Network Engineer (Cisco VOIP Experience Required)
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Network Engineer with Cisco VOIP experience to join our Austin IT team.
Job Duties and Requirements:
• Responsible for network administration of ABM Global Network
• Member of a small team responsible for overall network environment including routers, VPN switches, network switches, network-monitoring tools, and all VOIP systems
• Create and maintain network-monitoring tools insuring high levels of availability of the network.
• Write, review, and/or maintain technical documentation for administration tasks and for installation and configuration of software and hardware
• Must understand Unity (installing and maintaining) 7.x and above
• Setup and manage user accounts in Cisco Call Manager (CCM)
• Thorough knowledge of enterprise CCM maintenance, including:
• Connecting CCM's
• Gatekeeper experience
• IOS Voice experience
• Thorough knowledge of SIP protocols and trunking
• Transcoder and conferencing resource experience
• Experience in configuring regions and locations in CCM
• Experience with IVR systems
• Basic understanding of Active Directory and Exchange
• Experience operating a live Network supporting an Enterprise environment
• Other duties as assigned.
In addition to regularly scheduled hours and responsibilities, Network Analysts are frequently required to assist on special projects and emergencies. This includes, but is not limited to, regularly scheduled evening or early morning maintenance and emergency response at any time (24x7). These additional responsibilities are an essential function of the job and are required to insure continuous operations and minimize disruption to end-users.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field desirable
Minimum Requirements:
• 4 years experience in network administration
• 4 years of Cisco VOIP experience
• CCDP or CCNP desirable.
• CCSP a strong plus.
• Experience with layer 1-3 network knowledge
• Experience with Cisco routers, CSU/DSU's, Switches and PIX/ASA firewalls.
• Knowledge of industry standard network monitoring tools.
• Strong problem solving and logic skills required
• Strong organizational skills required
• Knowledge in Excel and Word required
Communications Skills:
• Excellent verbal communication skills required
• Ability to work on projects in team setting
• Ability to communicate program standards and requirements to contractors
• Ability to communicate and work with end users with minimal computer experience
• Good business writing skills required
• Technical Software Documentation skills required
• Excellent verbal communications skills
