Based out of Salt Lake City, UT, we are a fun and challenging company with a Real Time analytics platform for social media. We make social conversations on the web actionable and insightful using elegant dashboards and unique visualizations. We're seeking to hire a talented and experienced Data Mining Analyst to join our team and take us to the next level!
What you need for this position:
- Strong C#, Asp.NET and JavaScript Skills
- MongoDB and Redis Knowledge a plus
- Must be able to handle remote work appropriately and report daily on scrum
- Experience with Agile methodology including unit testing, continuous refactoring and peer code reviews
- Experience with distributed work management and multi-process systems
- Previous work with large high-throughput processing a plus
- Social Analytics Experience a plus
- Experience with Social Media APIs (eg Twitter, Facebook, YouTube...etc) a plus
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Mathematics or Statistics/Probability Theory background a plus
What you'll be doing:
- Take on the many challenges faced in the data mining world including but not limited to: sentiment analysis, natural language processing, high-throughput scalable work processes, insight summarization, trend and event analysis, high-fidelity JavaScript powered (d3.js) visualizations, Real Time reporting, cloud scale deployments and much more.
- Put your extensive C# and JavaScript knowledge to the test by working with lots of data in real-time.
