Description
This role is part of the Enterprise Growth/Global Payment Options-International Plastic Products team. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating projects from initiation to implementation for Global Payment Option Prepaid Card projects. Leads cross-functional project teams and works with business analysts/partners to determine and translate business requirements into technology solutions. Responsible for managing project costs, resources, change requests, risk, and issues to ensure that maximum business benefit is maintained, as well as provision of regular project status updates.
* Typically reports to a Program Manager or Director of Technical Delivery
* Works with Program Managers, Directors of Technical Delivery, and portfolio management to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects
* Accountable for ensuring appropriate/optimal engagement of delivery resources (may work with Resource Manager to allocate resources)
* Develops high-level project plans and ensures that the scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders
* Ensures that the supporting business case is updated throughout the course of delivery and works with the business to ensure business case objectives are met
* Assembles project plans, ensures all systems of record for project reporting are kept current, and directs and monitors work effort on a regular basis
* Reviews development estimates from development teams and actively seeks clarification/verification, as appropriate
* Ensures accurate reflection of project budgets, forecasts, and actuals within Clarity
* Identifies and tracks key project milestones (base-lining critical path)
* Monitors and communicates the progress of project delivery and ensures timely and effective communication of project status in terms of cost, forecast, schedule, and assessment of risks/issues
* Negotiates and influences cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the course of the development lifecycle
* Proactively anticipates project risks and issues and ensures adequate mitigation is put in place to ensure delivery is not compromised
* Ensures effective change control procedures and processes are efficiently used to maintain control on scope, schedule, and cost
* Oversees quality assurance (QA) and ensures appropriate levels of end-to-end testing resources across the project are deployed
* Facilitates post-implementation reviews and ensures lessons learned are carried forward appropriately
Qualifications
* 5+ years technology project experience with proven leadership skills; 3+ years of direct project management experience
* Knowledge of Prepaid Card applications overall functionality, for example, Authorization Networks, Card Fulfillment, Card Servicing, Accounting, and Reconciliation, is preferred
* Experience with technical vendor partner engagement and management, for example, contractual input, SLAs, and SOWs, is preferred
* Experience with creating and managing technology processes to work with vendors and partners, for example, release management, new function, and regression testing, is preferred
* Requires the ability to successfully work on multiple projects concurrently
* Highly skilled in development methodologies, project management, vendor management, and technology compliance and control
* Requires financial acumen in terms of representing project financials within the Enterprise Portfolio Management System
* Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent project management certification preferred
* Demonstrated ability to drives results, navigate a large organization, and develop strong relations across IT and the business while utilizing collaborative working practices
* Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and demonstrate ability to influence without authority
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or other related field, or has equivalent work experience
