Job Description: CM Specialist
CGI Federal is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to work in our San Diego, CA location. The successful candidate will provide support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) system integration and operational support to Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) Pacific. Duties include:
- -Ensure the integrity and maintain configuration control of items in established repositories, both physical and electronic, to support delivery and retrieval of software and documentation.
- -Maintain media and documentation delivered to the physical repository, which represents evolving product baselines.
- -Support the discipline in applying technical and administrative direction and surveillance to identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of a configuration item, control changes to those characteristics and record and report changes to processing and implementation to the status.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience in configuration management (CM) of complex software systems (system of systems concepts) are required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
- Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
- Experience with a software development life cycle, product versioning, and versioning systems.
- Experience with the management and maintenance of configuration data for multiple system variants at multiple user sites.
- Knowledge of licensing methodologies.
- Knowledge of security classification, markings, and policies for safe handling of classified or sensitive material to include export controlled items, For Official Use Only, and access to restricted material.
- Knowledge of and ability to create media, perform status accounting, and maintain computer files and computer-oriented and/or documented material in a library.
- Proficient with CMPro, Subversion repository environment and collaborative software build tools such as Jenkins, Wiki, Confluence, Jira, etc.
- Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders.
- Self motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.
- Professional oral and written presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% or less.
