Job Description: QA Specialist

CGI Federal is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to work in our San Diego, CA location. The successful candidate will provide support for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) system integration and operational support to Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) Pacific. Duties include:

- -Utilize a variety of administrative, analytical, and technical methods and techniques to insure the quality and reliability of products and processes.
- -Analyze quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in quality processes and products.
- -Review current quality or inspection procedures and make recommendations for potential improvements.
- -Conduct audits of products and processes for conformance to specifications and to detect processing and technical documentation deficiencies and recommending corrective action, including establishment of acceptable quality levels and statistical techniques.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience in applying software quality assurance (QA) methods in support of the development and maintenance of DOD software is required.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to successfully complete the CGI Background Investigation to include; 50 State Criminal, Education and Employment; Additionally, your ability to successfully complete a Credit and/or Driving Records Checks may be conducted if required by the contract for continued employment.
- Possession of an INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to begin employment; Ability to maintain a SECRET security clearance is required for continued employment; US Citizenship is required.
- Knowledge of quality assurance/control methods, principles, and practices, including statistical analysis and sampling techniques.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply ISO/IEC 25000 to software quality assurance efforts.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with the use of automated test techniques and tools on DOD software.
- Skill in interpreting and applying product specifications, technical data, regulations, policy statements, and other guideline materials.
- Skill in conducting studies and investigations, problem analysis, and developing logical and documented recommendations.
- Ability to establish working relations at all organizational levels. Demonstrate ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with Government officials and program office stakeholders.
- Self motivator with ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision or direction.
- Professional oral and written presentation skills.
- Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25% or less.

Desired
- DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Work Force (IAWF) Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
- -Desired experience and good working knowledge of C4I networks and equipment.
