RF (Radio Frequency) Test Engineer (Mid-Level) - CTS

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform RF Over the Air Antenna testing on mobile products with technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, and LTE to ensure delivery of testing services that meet client's requirements in accordance with Global wireless Forums' test plans and SGS quality system.
- Perform debug and engineering services for wireless clients.
- Maintain high degree of knowledge of industry test requirements in order to assist customers and test equipment manufactures with issues.
- Responsible for maintaining one or more test platforms, building knowledge on said platforms: updating systems and isolating issues then communicating with test equipment service.

Specific responsibilities
- Conduct testing in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relations.
- 2nd shift work required on a per-project basis.
- Complete all assigned chargeable work within the required timeframes to ensure customer and project staff satisfaction and efficiency of the business.
- Maintaining technical knowledge by learning the requirements of the test plans being asked to execute.
- Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfil SGS quality requirements.
- Provide technology support to ensure efficient operation of the business and effective customer relations.
- Assist in maintaining A2LA ISO17025 accreditation to ensure a high quality of service to clients.
- Support business development activities to enable ongoing growth of the business.
- Test system management, maintenance and calibrations to ensure compliance with the SGS quality system.
- Training other members of the team to ensure knowledge is passed through the team.
- Actively improving the testing service provided by SGS.
- Maintain the laboratory and personal areas to facilitate efficient operations

Profile
Perform device testing, verify test results, assist and train technicians.

Skills
BSEE, BSCS or equivalent degree.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and good presentation skills.
- Able to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to supervise/mentor Technicians.
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Effective working knowledge of Windows associated packages (MS Office etc).
- A broad level of CDMA/GSM/WCDMA/LTE/mobile wireless knowledge with a detailed knowledge in one or more areas.
- Use of industry leading test and measuring equipment (RF and Protocol emulators) eg Rohde and Schwarz, Spirent, Agilent, Anite, Anristu, Aeroflex, etc.
- Ability to interpret specifications to satisfy customer requirements.
- Must have a working knowledge of 3GPP standards.
- Minimum of 3 years experience with providing technical services in a customer driven environment.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in radio or wireless technologies.
- Prior knowledge of LTE/GSM/UMTS/CDMA OTA Antenna testing highly desirable.
- Understanding of validation services for test equipment manufacturers.
