Busines staff has been retained by a Medical Industry Client in search of a Senior Software Engineer at their Corporate San Diego location.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leads on design teams up to moderate large scale software features or systems of moderate complexity.
• Establishes topologies and architects documentation plans for software features or systems of the appropriate scope, and/or contributes to larger design efforts.
• Conceives, specifies, architects, designs, develops, verifies, and documents moderate to large scale software features or systems of high complexity.
• Integrates COTS and the efforts of external software engineers into a software product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in EE, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mathematics. Master's Degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software development for medical devices, including 4+ years of experience with Embedded software/firmware, Real Time operating systems, multi-threaded applications, network programming, and GUI development.
• Promotes the advancement of scientific knowledge and collaborations with fundamental research through participation in scientific and engineering conferences.
• Demonstrates mastery of UML, C++, and software engineering tools such as code review applications, configuration management applications, and integrated development environments. Able to compare and evaluate new tools.
• Develops intellectual property and supports patenting process.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of and experience with Medical Software Safety regulations from the FDA, IEC, AAMI, IEEE, and ISO desired
• Boost Libraries, DICOM, MFC, STL, Qt, or medical image processing experience (OpenGL, CUDA, etc.) a huge plus!

Compensation includes a Base Salary of $110k to $130k plus Stock, Bonuses Relocation and a comprehensive benefits package.
