Test Engineer - Secret Clearance

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our client in San Diego, California.

Possession of a Secret Security Clearance is required as a condition for employment

Job Responsibilities:

- Participate as a member of a testing team.
- Utilize HPES testing methodology; analyze testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios for a test level to be executed on a project.
- Design testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as designed in business or technical specifications.
- Execute tasks related to the production of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts and test data.
- Analyze the results of the testing process and recommends solutions
- Define, identify, collect and organize detailed information relating to testing requirements.
- Interact with the project team to gain an understanding of the business environment, technical context, and conformance criteria.
- Understand and use appropriate automated testing processes and tools.
- Stay current on established tools, techniques and technologies
- Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussion, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned

Job Qualifications:

- A Technical Bachelor's degree
- Minimum two (2) years related IT experience
- Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues.
- Able to work on problems/projects of moderately complex scope
- Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action
- Able to evaluate unique circumstances and make recommendations
- Must have excellent planning, organizational and people skills
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently or in a team
- Must be able to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Must have strong work ethic
- Understanding of TCP protocols and OSI layers
- Comprehensive knowledge of Wan (Wide Area Network)
- Experience with DISA STIGS and DIACAP
- Excellent problem determination and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working collaboratively with engineers and fellow teammates
- Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal) to all management levels within customer organization
- Must have Security +

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

- Experience in a DOD network environment is preferred
