Single Sign On Engineer will be challenged to create and maintain highly scalable, available, reliable, and secured network security environment(s). Role and responsibilities of the Network and Security Applications Engineer include:

Duties:

Lead Developer role on two or more high-volume transaction application through the entire software life cycle from requirements to support

Developing and communicating design and coding best practices and design patterns for use across projects

Collaborating with business groups and CIT security architects to identify and define security and privacy issues related to IT infrastructure, data, COTS applications, and in-house applications

With minimal supervision, translating business requirements into technical designs

Developing, testing, and deploying complex IT security solutions to ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected
Serving as a technical lead for larger IT security projects, when necessary

Supporting and troubleshooting production systems as required optimizing security performance and reliability

Working with security vendors and managing Proof-of-Concept (POC) and tool evaluations

Working closely with Operations to deploy and integrate new IT security solution into the existing infrastructure

Skills:

Knowledge and understanding of the at least 4 or 5 of the following items VPN, Load Balancing, VLAN, Network Access Control, Network Segmentation, Extranet Implementation, Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Prevention, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, DNS, Smart Cards, Strong Authentication, Tokens, Network Monitoring, Wireless Network Security. 802.1X

Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting router, switches, and other security appliances

Must have experience in the following:
Ping Federate
EA WebLogic platform
Oracle 8/9i database system
C/C++ added plus
Web Services, SOAP, SSL, UDDI, WSDL, SOA architecture
Experience with SDLC process, RUP, and UML modeling

Education:

BS Computer Science or equivalent
