Healthcare Analyst II - Permanent

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Healthcare Analyst II to join our client in San Francisco, CA.

Job Overview:

Our client iscurrently seeking a qualified candidate to work in the capacity of Healthcare Analyst II. This is a full-time, benefited direct hire position.

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure the integrity of data used to support Quality Reporting efforts and other Performance Improvement department activities
- Work with Reporting & Analysis, as well as Information Technology, to collect and maintain the data central to Performance Improvement department services
- Conduct analysis of Pay for Performance and other key Performance Improvement datasets in order to support quality reporting requirements, identify trends in Performance Improvement programs and support operational needs of the department
- Maintain the quality and integrity of Pay for Performance data stored in/processed through the core applications and databases which support the Performance Improvement department
- Identify opportunities for improvement in databases, data sets and reports utilized by the department

Job Qualifications:

- BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience and training in computer science, business or healthcare
- Master's Degree preferred
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in analysis of healthcare data and management of healthcare information systems
- CPC or CCS Certification required
- Experience in a health care delivery system required
- Strong working knowledge of NCQA, STAR and HEDIS
- Experience utilizing business intelligence, relational database and data warehouse methodologies
- Must have the ability to build and query off of relational databases (such as Microsoft Access and SQL)
- Experience with Cognos software
