You will be challenged with responsibility for the design and development of BRCM APIs for Ethernet PHY and switching devices, Pre-silicon development support using Architectural model, FPGA systems, post silicon bring up, validation and debug. This is your opportunity to work closely with Hardware, Architecture and Design teams to define requirements and architecture for Ethernet PHYs/Switches/Reference boards and to implement the necessary software support for these in Broadcom SDK.

Job Requirements. MSCS/EE plus 9 years, or BSCS/EE plus 12 years, or equivalent Software Development experience (Drivers & API) required.

* Very strong programming skills in C

* Experience with RTOS, eg VxWorks, Embedded Linux, etc.

* Experience with device drivers and/or diagnostics and understanding of hardware devices

* System primitives such as timers, DMA, interrupts, cache configuration and device registration

* Hands on experience on Ethernet MAC and PHY, physical layer devices/transceivers

* Hands on experience on high speed interconnect products (SERDES, backplane and optical PHYs)

* Prior experience on Broadcom PHYs is a plus

* Experience with layer 2 networking/Ethernet switching

* Experience with IEEE 1588 PTP

* Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and excellent analytical skills
