As a Senior IT Support Engineer you are required to provide proactive IT User support including executive support. This role will be responsible for providing desk side support and site IT leadership for the companies Bay Area office and remote support for home based and travelling users.
This role will be expected to advice end users, including Executives, on technology best practices in conjunction with industry and Global IT standards.
Also, this role will be expected to interact with 3rd party suppliers and other members of the IT team to provide "smart hands" assistance for Servers and phones. Work with the business to schedule and perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, reconfigurations, and purchases.
In addition, evaluate emerging technologies and software life cycles for compatibility with current systems, lead project initiatives to deliver new technology and improvement projects globally and partner with the IT manager to streamline and improve daily service desk operations.
Required skills:
*Proven experience providing IT support to Executive level employees.
*Extensive experience of supporting both Windows and Mac devices.
*A proven self-starter with experience working in a distributed global IT team with minimal supervision.
*Ability to follow and create documented processes.
*Effective management of users' expectation.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*End to end management of IT projects.
*Passion for user technology and happy users.
Desirable skills:
*Experience working with telephone systems - preferably Avaya.
*Using Google Apps
*Understanding of IP Networking and configuration experience - preferably Cisco
*Understanding of Linux and Windows server administration.
*Understanding of Active Directory and LDAP, DHCP,DNS and other network services.
*Experience of Video Conferencing technologies.
*Experience of IOS and Android device support and MDM.
