Summary:
Intel is looking for a Lead iOS software engineer to join our Software Engineering team. The Lead Software Engineer plays a leading role on a high performance team. Candidate will be responsible for designing/developing a new wave of social application targeted for smartphones/tablet products; and is expected to participate and lead in all phases of software development lifecycle.

Description:
Ideal candidate should possess 10+ years of engineering experience in application software development & integration efforts in the mobile wireless handset industry.
Ideal candidate will have very good knowledge of iOS framework, Objective-C, device capabilities, iOS version history with working knowledge of iOS SDK. Strong working knowledge of following core functional domains: Graphics, Multimedia, Communications (Messaging) and Camera/Gallery is a must. Past Experience in developing client applications interacting with cloud based server is required. Evaluation and integration experience with third party libraries is required.

This is a hands-on engineering position and Ideal candidate will be able to design/develop completely new application, and perform unit testing and integration testing.
Candidate must have necessary skills to integrate the applications with other application components/server components and apple play store (eg for in-app purchase requirements) in an abstract manner.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:
Lead the development of new and existing Intel applications for the iOS platform from conceptualization to launch
Lead the development of quality code using cutting-edge techniques, tools, and utilities
Lead individual projects from a technical perspective, from conceptualization to launch
Lead, train, guide, and mentor other developers on the team
Research, test, and implement new techniques, frameworks, and utilities
Help define and enforce development and design standards and best practices for other developers
Partner with cross-functional teams to define new product requirements, features, and functionality. Partner with third party teams.

Must have skills:
10+ years hands-on development experience with Objective-C and iOS
Past experience of developing a significant consumer app that is currently available in marketplace
Graphics/Multimedia/Messaging/Camera/Database/Push Notification
Understanding of Client-Server functional methodology
familiarity with iOS build management
Solid understanding of data models and data access architecture and optimization
Strong understanding of multi-tier web architectures, and OO design patterns and concepts
Strong understanding of server side software, scalability, performance, and reliability
A sound understanding of HTTP and REST-style web services is required.
Experience with Git, iOS SDK, UIKit, Interface Builder, InstrumentExperience with Apple Push Notification Services, iOS Frameworks and Memory Management
Solid understanding of Apple iPhone/iPad app development life cycle including App Store compliance policies and submissions requirements
Experience with iOS build management and provisioning
Experience with agile software development practice, scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
Experience with TestFlight or similar app distribution platforms
Experience with iOS crash reporting applications
Experience evaluating and working with 3rd party libraries

Education: B.S or M.S in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or equivalent; BS + 10 years of experience, or MS + 8 years' experience in relevant field.
