Agilent Technologies, Inc. has a Research & Development Software Engineer, Expert position available in Santa Rosa, CA. Job Duties: Work with product planning and outbound marketing to understand, refine, and document the key measurement and usability requirements for products in PXI and the new AXle modular instrumentation standard. Create product definition for the S/W platform from Customer Requirements and Internal Requirements (which are driven by inputs from internal cross-functional teams as well as the rest of the product development team). Lead the S/W platform team in architecting the S/W platform for our RF and uW modular products. Use unified modeling language (UML) to document the S/W architecture. Use Agile development with scrums and bi-weekly sprints to develop tested S/W features. Design, develop, test, and debug significant pieces of the platform s/w, leading to system integration and release of the modular product platform S/W on time and with our quality goals met.
Employer requires a Bachelor's or foreign degree equivalent in Physics, Computer Sci., Comp. Eng., Elec. Eng., or related field, plus 5 years of post-Bachelor's progressive work experience in job offered, as R&D project manager, R&D engineer, or related occupation. Education/experience must include the following:
1) RF and Microwave test and measurement expertise
2) C++ and C# proficiency;
3) Experience in Embedded system software/firmware development;
