Position Description

McGladrey is offering a unique opportunity for a technology professional with a strong background in applications and databases to work as a member of the Technology Services Consulting Practice in a client-facing role focusing on the Microsoft Dynamics GP ERP solution.

This Consultant will work closely with Project Managers in conducting multiple client projects ranging from technical support, system installation and updates, configuration, data migration, report writing and customization.

This position is an excellent opportunity to utilize knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and other middle-market ERP tools to install new systems, perform system upgrades, design and integrate changes to client's existing ERP systems and provide support assistance.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the willingness to go the extra mile for the success of the client and team. They need to be a problem solver, creative thinker, and quick learner, as well as be detail-oriented with an interest in understanding their clients' business.

Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 3 + years of experience in technology
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong conceptual, analytic and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong follow-through and responsiveness
- Desire to continually expand skills and react to changes in technology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Able to travel throughout Chicagoland area, with limited overnight travel
