As part of the GET's Global Commercial Operations team working with GE's Battery Business Unit the Strategic Commercial Solutions Manager will: Essential Responsibilities:
  • Be integral to ensuring market growth of our new Durathon TM battery technology by leading fast-paced, cross functional teams in the development and execution of winning strategies for complex deals and the negation of international contracts
  • Evaluate competitive environment, get price for value delivered, assure cost information, meet legal requirements and financial targets, all aimed at driving profitability by balancing customer and market requirements with internal cost and resource metrics
  • Deal structure evaluation, terms and conditions/commercial risk assessment
  • Maintain cross-functional leadership, evaluating all aspects of a deal and proactively engaging relevant functions to thoroughly capture customer requirements while mitigating risks and proposing alternatives
  • Work with Product Management to develop customer-specific value sell stories, standard product configurations and product price points
  • Facilitate/lead deal reviews, financial/commercial risk reviews and tollgate reviews to assure stakeholder engagement and approval of key deals and contracts
  • Lead proposal and contract development
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring business risks have been protected while balancing customer requests
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing critical deliverables and delivering quality results on-time
  • Champion GE initiatives and be an active participant in leaning commercial processes Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a Technical discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of international commercial experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial and profitability analysis
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with direct customer interactions, presentations and relationship building
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience negotiating with internal and external customers
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience writing and managing contracts Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • Commercial experience including developing highly complex winning proposals, evaluating deal structures and formulating business strategies

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience understanding customer CTQs and translating into winning strategies for the customer and for GE
