Back End PHP Developer

Yoh has a six (6) month contract opportunity for a Back End PHP Developer to join our Top rated Digital Marketing agency client in Seattle, WA.

Job Responsibilities:

- Back End PHP Developer collaborates closely with client's development leads, developers, and web strategists; the client's user experience team; the client's creative team; and client's project and account managers to translate creative visions into functional applications.
- Back End PHP Developer will design and build enterprise-class applications using best practices in programming methodology.
- Design new applications using an MVC model.
- Model data structures for scalability.
- Back End PHP Developer will write secure code and architect applications with security and performance as top-of-mind priorities.

Job Qualifications:

- True PHP programmer that loves to hack code in several languages and has fun doing it
- Design, development, maintenance, and optimization of secure and scalable multitier web applications
- Digital marketing projects experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of PHP, Perl, JavaScript, UNIX Shell, SQL, HTML, CSS, XML, Varnish, NGINX, and Bash Scripting
- Comfortable with both object-oriented and procedural programming methodologies
- Experience building cutting-edge applications with PHP5 and MySQL preferable
- Knowledge installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP packages
- Strong knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, indexes, table normalization, and database design
- Knowledge of AJAX development a plus
- Comfortable hacking and compiling Linux software packages
