As the Creative Director, you will be working collaboratively with lead designers, developers, solution strategists and clients to drive and support the vision you help create through all stages of production. Responsibilities:
Innovation - lead think-tank and brainstorming sessions to deliver vNext solutions, establishing XBL Advertising as the innovation leader in Gaming & Entertainment advertising solutions.
Design, Development & Production Management - Advise, direct, and facilitate internal and external design and development teams in the creation of advertising solutions, across multiple next-gen platforms.
Develop visual standards and style guides standards for broader creative group.
Establish and leverage industry-standard technology frameworks to facilitate smooth, quick-turn development and deployment of experiences
Partner Management - Long term relationship management with internal teams and external partners, consistently raising the quality bar for XBL advertising solutions.
Team Performance - Ability to manage a full spectrum of Artists, across multiple experience levels.
Internal Evangelism - Represent solutions, insights, and views of the XBL Design team with Country and Regional Management, Redmond Teams, and Senior Managers tasked with delivering content across the Xbox, Zune, Windows and MSN.com businesses. Conduct partner education meetings, as appropriate.
External Evangelism - Represent XBL Advertising design, service and innovation capabilities to external partners, customers and industry influentials. Attend industry events as appropriate, developing & presenting demos as proof of concepts.
Future Platforms - Identify & deliver feature requirements for future platform releases to improve efficiency, profitability, creative flexibility and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience developing world-class, forward-thinking brand experience solutions
5+ years managing multi-disciplinary design teams
Thorough understanding of all aspects of advertising campaign development process, from design methodology to technical craftsmanship and production
Working knowledge of Front End development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, jQuery
Self-motivated and comfortable dealing with the ambiguity of v1 and incubation work
Passion for games, entertainment, technology, and amazing user experiences
Startup experience, first version product, or similar demonstrated background working in a greenfield area
Proven track record of managing both technical as well as design teams to success
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated knowledge and application of modern art processes and techniques for brand solutions
BA or BFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent.
