Java SDET (Software Development Engineer In Test)

Yoh has a 12 month contract opportunity for a Java SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our client in Seattle, WA.

Job Responsibilities:
- As an SDET on this small team, you will have a variety of technical responsibilities including writing and executing automated tests using Java, Groovy and TestNG on a daily basis, exploratory testing dozens of integrated services, vetting software specifications, building and executing performance tests based on third party tools and validating that our services can meet the expectations of our SLAs.
- You will work closely with the Business and technical leads to design and build solutions that meet the functional and scalability requirements.

Job Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- At least three to five (3 - 5) years of experience in testing or development of database-driven web applications or other enterprise software.
- Solid Java or Groovy programming and testing experience. You have demonstrable skills in building JUnit or TestNG tests. C#/NUnit may be considered.
- Strong QA skills: planning, exploratory testing, defect reporting and troubleshooting.
- Ability to comprehend complex system architectures and find creative approaches to testing them.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate.
- Experience designing and running web stress and load tests.
- Strong communication skills.
- A keen analytical and structured approach to problem solving and testing.

Preferred Job Skills/Certifications/Knowledge:
- Experience with Agile software development life cycle, streaming media, MySQL, Oracle, RESTful services, Java EE and other modern programming or Scripting languages.
