Our high-visibility client is looking for a solid and self-motivated Web Developer Engineer to work on the next version of their tool. This team is responsible for the controlled experimentation platform. These systems allow both enablement of changes in a controlled manner and measurement of the impact changes have on customer behavior, application and system performance, and business as a whole.

In order to constantly enable and fine tune features that enhance the experience of web and application customers, business and technology teams rely on the experimentation platform. This team enables businesses to make million dollar decisions and launch critical features at the flick of a button; these systems process massive amounts of data and rely on rigorous statistical experimentation models to provide day-to-day results on the impact of changes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years industry experience in software development
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript, Grails and backbone.js
  • Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3
  • Understanding of JavaScript plugin patterns and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of underscore.js
  • Strong understanding of DOM manipulation and rendering
  • Familiarity with Twitter Bootstrap framework

This contract position is expected to be 5 months in duration.
