Position Summary:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform application engineering activities in an expanding number of environments and frameworks
- Create design and architecture plans to focus on performance, scalability and flexibility
- Actively participate in project estimation and detailed software design
- Work with other Developers, QA Analysts, and Product Managers to ensure overall product quality
- Follow and enhance existing development processes and procedures
- Consistently meet project deadlines
- Work across departments in solving new and existing technical issues
- Partner with other developer, architect and database administrator team members to design forward looking architectures and designs for a portfolio of applications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Positive and collaborative attitude a must
- Experience in agile development processes a must
- Fluent understanding of multiple development languages and frameworks (preference will be given to candidates with experience in C#, Python, and JavaScript)
- Advanced understanding of Object Oriented programming and design with ability to mentor others
- Understanding and hands-on experience with various solution deployment models (ie web, client/server, terminal server, etc.)
- Familiarity with Model View Controller and other design patterns
- Experience with TDD a plus
- Ability to design software to satisfy requirements
- Demonstration of flexible and efficient time management
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects
- Interest in achieving high quality standards
- Aptitude towards solving problems, using critical thinking skills and applying your knowledge towards complex concepts and problem spaces
- Strong verbal and written communication skills regardless of audience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in Unix/Linux and Windows Server
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor†s degree in computer science or a software related field
- 5+ years software development experience
- Experience in designing interoperable enterprise level solutions
- Experience in relational database programming and design
- Platform interface technology experience (ie message queuing, interface engine, ETL, etc.) a plus CD-SWDEVEL, CyberCoders
